Reach approved tattoo ink is a new EU-regulation wich restricts the use of 4,000 chemicals, some of them found in brand of tattoo and pmu inks. The reason for exclusion of these chemicals has to do with their hazard classification. 

The new legalisation is known as REACH. REACH means Registration, Evalution, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals.

All manufacturers have already made their new inks with REACH regulation.

All REACH approved tattoo ink price is higher than those which mades previously. The increased price comes not only the extensive research over the past

year but also the increased cost of manufacturing, documentation, specialty equipment, ongoing testing and re-testing and research for never ending

safety data. No one of the tattoo inks manufacturers recieve any financial support to relief new regulation, all costs are carries by the pigment manufacturer.
